Piranha Internet, one of Lancashire’s leading digital marketing agencies has been selected to provide a series of digital presentations to BT’s Superfast Lancashire project.
The project intends to bring fibre broadband to 97% of homes and businesses – that’s approximately 655,000 premises – in the county by the end of 2015. That’s roughly 655,000 premises.
Superfast Lancashire is a collaboration between Lancashire County Council and BT which aims to boost the local economy by creating around 2,500 jobs and protect more than 1,200 jobs over the next few years. The county’s enterprise zones are a key priority as fibre broadband will help local businesses to become more competitive.
The project is being funded by the European Regional Development Fund BT, BDUK, and local councils: Lancashire, Blackburn with Darwen and Blackpool.
Piranha’s innovative presentations will be utilised around Lancashire by the Superfast Lancashire BT team to inform businesses of the intrinsic benefits of fibre broadband in a business environment.
Paul Airey, Account Director at Piranha Internet Ltd commented “Potentially everyone in Lancashire can benefit from this project as it aims to uplift Lancashire’s economy over the coming years. We are very proud to be working with BT and to be associated with Superfast Lancashire as they work with local communities and help small businesses to adopt technologies and grow”.
