Client: County Palatine
The Brief: To
increase the consumer and business profile of the company,
the project and parent company across all trade and
consumer media
The
Solution: To develop a fully integrated PR campaign
utilising the power of regional press, national trade
publications and television with full creative support.
The programme consisted of a local, regional and national
awareness campaign of the company and its services,
combined with a more specific campaign to promote the
open day and ultimately create a waiting list for the
rental properties and secure the sale of the shared
ownership houses. The campaign also included the organisation
and promotion of the open day.
The Open Day
The first part of the campaign was to organise an open
day at the first of the properties on Brixton road.
This was essential to give the campaign focus and offer
the media an opportunity to formally visit the project.
The open day was planned for Wednesday 10th September.
This created a small window of opportunity and put great
pressure on ensuring the media were available at the
precise moment the property was ready.
Primetime Television Coverage
After some last minute planning and organisation, Jane
Barrett the reporter from BBC North West Tonight arrived
on site with the film crew at approximately 12.30 on
the open day to run a live interview with Paul Lees,
the chief executive of County Palatine. This interview
went out live in the lunchtime edition of the local
BBC News. Staff from Piranha worked closely with County
Palatine, at arranging the interview and ensuring all
relevant information was at hand.
