Piranha Internet Ltd, the Preston-based award winning internet service agency is delighted to announce the launch of a new website developed for St Catherine's Hospice, a highly regarded local charity that provides specialised palliative care from its centre of excellence based in Lostock Hall.
The website has been designed and developed to reflect St Catherine's modern approach to palliative care. Care is provided at home through outpatient and day therapy clinics and overnight in the Hospice. St Catherine's also provides education in palliative care for care homes and operates a 24-hour professional advice line.
The charity ran a comprehensive selection process before engaging Piranha. Companies wishing to provide website development and support to St Catherine's Hospice needed to demonstrate the design skills and technical ability to give the charity the online presence and on-going support they required. They also needed to show an understanding of St Catherine's ethos, capture the spirit of the Hospice and the support it provides as well as providing excellent value for money. Since being appointed, Piranha has been involved at every stage of the production process and was integral to the planning and content structure of the website.
Paul Airey, Account Director at Piranha, said: "We are delighted to be working with St Catherine's Hospice. Right from the start we understood just how important this project is to the charity and its future plans, and knew, given the opportunity, we would deliver a high quality website which is well constructed, comprehensive, relevant and informative."
Piranha has put its mark on this project, producing an excellent website that engages with the users, patients, carers, families and donors. There is useful and engaging information and facilities which look terrific but are also incredibly easy to use.
Lynn Kelly, St Catherine's Head of Education, commented: "Piranha has been a pleasure to work with. They brought some great ideas to the table and have been incredibly supportive throughout the process. The new website is everything we could have hoped for, the response from users has been very positive and the website will be a key aid in our ongoing fundraising efforts. As we receive feedback we will continue to develop the site through the flexible arrangements that Piranha has set up for us."
