Outside of work, the Piranha team has a wide range of interests, from eating out and going to gigs, to physical hobbies like running and climbing; we’re always busy! This month, our designer Sarah Moss (not to be confused with Sarah Clarke!) took part in the charity run Race for Life.

The 5k event took place on Sunday 18th June at Moor Park in Preston. Women and children from all over Lancashire joined together to raise money for Cancer Research UK; a charity which is researching new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer.

The course ran through Moor Park, circled around the Serpentine Lake and passed by Deepdale Stadium, which is the home of Sarah’s favourite team Preston North End. Luckily, the sun was shining on the day which made the race much more enjoyable for everyone that took part!

Sarah completed the race with her friends Annabel and Claire. So far, they have managed to raise an amazing £300, which is £100 more than they were aiming for. Cancer Research says that “for every pound donated, 80p is used to beat cancer and the remaining 20p goes towards raising funds for the future”, so Sarah and the ‘DEM Team’ really have made a huge difference.

Piranha’s Director, Don Fryer, said; “We are extremely proud of Sarah for not only taking part in this race, but raising lots of money for a such great cause. A big well done to Sarah, Annabel and Claire from everyone here at Piranha!”
