Piranha Collects Donations for Local Food Bank

This month, our Digital Marketing Specialist Alex has organised for donations to be made to a local food bank. Alex’s partner Jenny has been collecting donations for this cause for many years and so they thought it would be a good opportunity to get more people involved.food-bank-branded-two-2

Luv Preston is a “local charity which aims to love and serve the city of Preston by providing care and support to those who find themselves disadvantaged and disconnected in the community.” They run a food bank which delivers emergency food parcels to people in the Preston area who are struggling.

There are many reasons that someone may need to seek help from a food bank, whether they have found themselves in debt, lost their benefits or are having problems with family members. Food parcels are available by referral, and this can be made by a GP, school, charity or Citizens Advice Bureau.

So far, we have had lots of food donations, including pasta, soup, sauces, cereals, noodles and baby food. We have also received other everyday essential toiletries like soap, shampoo and washing up liquid.

Piranha’s Account Director Don Fryer said; “People all around the world are struggling to put food on the table. These food banks provide help to individuals and families that really need it, which is why we wanted to help.”

“The team has been extremely generous with their donations. We have already filled our boxes to the brim and have had to find even more boxes to put in the office!”

These food banks need your help and are always looking for non-perishable donations to help make up their parcels.
